Tea tree oil is one of the most extensively researched essential oils, and one of the most backed by the findings and conclusions discovered from the studies done on it. It is produced from a shrub like tree by the name of Melaleuca alternifolia, which is found along streams and in swampy areas in its native land of Australia.

As a topical application for insect bites, cuts and grazes, burns, acne, infected wounds, bruises, boils, scabies, lice, chilblains, hives, prickly heat and sunburn. It quickly mixes with sebaceous secretions and penetrates through the epidermis (outer layer of the skin) and provides almost immediate relief from most of the conditions listed.

For external use only.

*Apply sparingly to minor cuts, burns, abrasions, pimples, boils, bites and stings. Apply Tea Tree Oil directly or on a cotton bud.

*All-Purpose Cleaner-Add 10 drops of tea tree oil to two cups of hot water and a half cup of vinegar to make a multipurpose cleaner. Be careful of using vinegar on marble or granite, as it can eat away at the stone.

*For hair growth: tea tree oil helps to unclog hair follicles and nourish your roots. To use tea tree oil as a hair growth treatment, mix a few drops of tea tree oil with any carrier oil (coconut, jojoba, almond). Mix it well and massage the mixture onto the scalp. Rinse thoroughly.
